Rencontres D’Affaires Fusion Nucleaire et ITER
F4E Director, Didier Gambier, stressed the importance of ITER for Europe at the opening of the event
An event bringing together over 100 actors from the Spanish and French markets dealing with nuclear and fusion energy was held in Barcelona in October and was co-organised by Ubifrance, the Generalitat of Catalonia, CDTI and Le Comité Industriel ITER.
F4E Director, Didier Gambier, participated at the opening of the event where he stressed the importance of ITER for Europe. Benjamin Perier, F4E Contracts and Procurement Department, participated in a roundtable discussion about the challenges that national industries and scientists face, and then held a general presentation about the work of the department.
Approximately 30 companies participated in each of the three workshops on Cryoplant, Analysis and Codes and Remote Handling which were held during the afternoon. During each workshop, the responsible F4E Technical Officer opened with a technical presentation and then two companies - one French, one Spanish – were each invited to present their activities. The question/answer sessions were very dynamic and attention-grabbing. Overall, the event was considered a success as it helped to bring companies together and has resulted in some bilateral meetings between them.
