F4E Supply Chain Excellence Awards launched

Europe’s fusion supply chain has grown in size, expertise and diversity of skills. Since 2007, Fusion for Energy (F4E) has worked directly or indirectly with more than 3,000 companies across 23 Member States to deliver components for  ITER and other ambitious projects. Together, we have manufactured first-of-a-kind equipment, solved engineering challenges, and built world-class capabilities in Europe.

The ecosystem brings together companies of every size, each holding their own track record in innovation and having an impact on growth. To celebrate this industrial journey, F4E is launching the first F4E Supply Chain Excellence Awards. The initiative will offer recognition to selected companies with an outstanding contribution.

The awards include five categories: Excellence in Delivery, Innovation Pioneer, Sustainability Champion, SME Rising Star, and Collaborative Partnership. They are open to firms of any size having worked for F4E (as contractor, subcontractor or technology / development partner).

“In an environment as demanding as fusion, excellence becomes the standard. Through this recognition, we aim to boost the reputation of our suppliers, provide greater confidence to the European ecosystem and inspire new entrants,” explains Kristel Tans, F4E’s Head of Project Control, Supply Chain and Finance.

The call is open until 15 September 2026. Applications will be evaluated against a set of published criteria by a panel mainly consisting of external experts.

The awards will be handed out during the Big Science Business Forum, held in Maastricht on 27-30 October 2026.
