The partnership tool on the F4E Industry Portal helps SMEs and big companies propose and find collaboration opportunities.
The F4E Industry Portal is the platform for companies and laboratories to find all information related to F4E and ITER business opportunities. Now, the website features a new section where users can offer or request partnerships to work for F4E’s projects. Almost like a bulletin board for the European fusion industry, companies of different size, expertise and capabilities can post their proposals and find matches to meet the criteria of F4E tenders. All they need to do is fill in a form indicating their specialisation and interests.
“We want to strengthen the connections within the fusion industry ecosystem by offering a platform for visibility and interaction among players. For instance, large suppliers in search of expert services or SMEs willing to enter the fusion sector can identify potential partners,” explains Benjamin Perier, Head of the F4E Market Analysis and Technology Transfer Group.
Indeed, the initiative is specially designed to support the presence of SMEs in the fusion supply chain. These smaller companies bring specialised knowledge and skills to projects like ITER, often as sub-contractors or part of consortia.
The submissions to the portal are helping F4E map the capabilities of the emerging fusion industry in Europe. Besides the new tool, F4E has a Supply Chain database with more than 2500 actors to inform procurement activities. Companies can register through a form and receive updates on relevant business opportunities.
