IBF 2013- the event where fusion technology means business

ITER Business Forum 2013

The ITER Business Forum (IBF) is the meeting point for those who mean business when they talk about fusion technology. The event will celebrate its third anniversary between 21-22 March in Toulon, France, and promises to gather more than 800 participants from industry, SMEs and research laboratories who are eager to network, build partnerships, exchange business cards, find what will be in the pipeline in terms of future calls and receive the latest information vis à vis the ITER project. In a nutshell, it’s the place to be and do business.

The event will reunite the ITER International Organization and six of the Domestic Agencies together with Industry Liaison Officers (ILOs), companies that have already received contracts and technical officers in order to comment on the progress of specific technologies and areas of work through thematic workshops and one to one meetings.

F4E’s Director, Henrik Bindslev, will be one of the key note speakers at the opening session and Jean-Marc Filhol, Head of F4E’s ITER Department, will be offering an update on the F4E contributions to ITER together with an overview of the procurement packages and opportunities ahead.

F4E’s technical staff will also participate in the thematic sessions addressing buildings, magnets, in-vessel components, heating and current drive systems, fuel cycle, diagnostics, remote handling, codac. F4E will have a stand at the IBF exhibition area offering industry the possibility to discuss business prospects in more detail and receive training on the Industry and Associations portal. We will also be unveiling the latest clips from the ITER construction site and our first clip reporting on the manufacturing process of the TF coils. In parallel, F4E will be moving around the event with its audio visual crew to bring you the highlights from the IBF and collect the opinions of key policy makers, representatives from ILOs and companies.
