F4E launches the 2026 Fusion Technology Transfer Award

Fusion for Energy (F4E) has launched a new edition of the Fusion Technology Transfer Award to reward innovation in Europe’s fusion supply chain. The call is open to European companies and organisations that take -or plan to take- a technology or know-how developed in fusion to the market.

Applications are open until 30 November 2026. An expert jury will assess the applications and select the winner, who will receive a reward of 10.000 EUR

The award is organised in collaboration with EUROfusion and with the support of Viromii Innovation.

F4E and Viromii will host a webinar to guide candidates through the submission process. The specific date and registration form will be published soon.

Why fusion technology transfer?

Europe’s contribution to ITER and other fusion projects is stimulating suppliers to develop advanced technologies and processes. From high-precision robots to specialised software or novel materials, fusion fosters creativity in many areas. Besides their value in a fusion environment, these solutions can find new uses in other high-tech sectors. F4E’s Technology Transfer Programme helps companies and researchers think broader and tap into the commercial potential of such breakthroughs.
